NJI revived Junior Snooker through co-sponsorship. A major breakthrough for development of cue sports at junior level was gained when NJI co-sponsored the National Junior Under-21 Snooker Championship, at Snoooker Zone Club from March 3-8, 2008

The event was last held in Rawalpindi in 1996 and 2008 event was the fifth competition where country’s top 32 cueists participated.

The winner received Rs 30,000 prize and the right to represent Pakistan at Asian Under-21 Snooker Championship to be held at Yangoon (Myanmar) from April 5-12, 2008. Runner-up picked-up Rs 20,000 and losing semi-finalist Rs 10,000
